Last year, Southeast Asia’s largest economy produced 46.7 million tonnes of crude palm oil, down 0.4 percent from 2024. It also produced 4.5 million tonnes of palm kernel oil. WebPure ethanol and biodiesel are nontoxic and biodegradable, and if spilled, they break down into harmless substances. However, fuel ethanol contains denaturants to make fuel ethanol undrinkable. Similar to petroleum fuels, biofuels are flammable (especially ethanol) and must be transported carefully.
